The MTAQ Innovation Award for 2015 was accepted on Chip Tyres behalf by Steve Hayes, from Australian Scrap Tyre Disposal.

The innovation award was presented for our work in introducing rubber crumb into explosives as a fuel replacement for diesel. This not only has a greater effect, but it is a much safer product as well.
